Care Point Medical Clinic, a clinic in the Renfew-Collingwood neighbourhood is looking to grow their team. They are a hybrid walk-in/family practice that is supported by 2 MOA’s. The clinic has 4 exam rooms, 1 shared physician’s office, 6 physicians working in the clinic. The clinic conducts appointments both virtually and in person. The patient population is varied with age and medical complexities as well as ethnic background.

Parking/Bike/Transit information: Parking is available
Hours: Monday-Friday 9am-9pm, Saturday 9am-6pm, Sunday 10am-4pm
Other relevant information: The clinic has a lab room and a procedure room for sutures, lumps, and bumps

Duties:

-Anticipate and complete all administrative duties for medical staff
-Maintain reception area
-Scheduling and confirming appointments
-Manage office inventory and equipment; anticipate needed supplies and order them accordingly
-Maintaining updated and accurate patient records
-Provides exceptional customer service at all times, to patients, visitors and colleagues
-Ensure that the examination rooms are always clean and stocked, prepare examinations in advance.
-Submit MSP, ICBC, and WCB Billings
-Review and Submit private and MSP refusals and rejections
-Create and maintain, staff schedules, provider schedules and day sheets
-Perform daily, weekly, and monthly bookkeeping
-Support training of new staff and providers
-Any other related responsibilities that are within the scope and competence of the Senior Medical Office Assistant

Qualifications and Skills:

– Certification as a Medical Office Assistant from an accredited educational institution
– A minimum of 4 years practical experience in a similar roles
– Excellent knowledge of Medical Terminology
– Experience in using EMR (INPUT)
– Communicates well and can work collaboratively with team members a patients
– Ability to multi-task and prioritize duties
– Punctual and Professional

Additional Practice Information

This office currently has 3 MOA’s, 2 Nurse Practitioners, and 1 Full Time Physician and 1 Part time Physician.
