Duties may be amended or added to from time to time at the discretion of the clinic manager
i) Patient flow – checking in, preparing, and taking patients to their exam room
ii) Room preparation – cleaning, tidying, restocking and otherwise preparing exam or treatment rooms as
needed before and after each patient encounter.
iii) Answer inquiries by phone and in person in a helpful, respectful, professional and efficient manner.
iv) Maintain appointment schedule and manages appointment recalls.
v) Maintain relevant potions of the patient’s electronic medical record, and ensure patient information is
accurate and current.
vi) Ensure exam rooms are stocked appropriately.
vii) Maintain patient confidentiality, as per the Employment Agreement and Confidentiality Agreement.
viii) Clean and sterilize reusable equipment and instruments.
ix) Maintain the overall cleanliness, tidiness and organization of the Clinic.
x) Perform simple patient preparation tasks such as weighing, measuring, or checking blood pressure or
other vital signs, as directed; document findings in the patient’s medical record.
xi) Process and submit billings for multiple payers (MSP, ICBC, WCB, etc.) and invoice and collect noninsured
fees where applicable.
xii) Order, receive, and stock kitchen, office and medical supplies.
xiii) Maintain accurate Clinic supplies inventory.
xiv) Perform any other related clinical, administrative or special tasks as required.

Clinical Skills and Abilities (training will be provided):
i) Measure and document a patient’s blood pressure using an automated blood pressure cuff.
ii) Prepare patients and set up exam rooms for various purposes and procedures, including pap smears,
excisions, biopsies, contraceptive device insertions, lacerations, etc.
iii) Prepare vaccines as needed.
iv) Accurately measure patient height and weight (including children and infants).
v) Measure head circumference for infants
vi) Operate the autoclave.
vii) Perform and record results for various lab tests done at the Clinic such as urine dips and pregnancy
tests.
